Ferris wants HSE to stop sending invoices to road traffic victim families

A north Kerry TD is calling on the Minister for Health James Reilly to not send invoices from accident and emergency departments to families of people who die in road traffic accidents. Martin FerrisDeputy Martin Ferris  says he has been approached by a devastated constituent who thought that the invoice must have been a mistake. In response to a parliamentary question, Health Minister James Reilly said that in cases where a minor, or has passed away the HSE Guidelines provide that the invoice must be sent to the next of kin or their legal representative.
