Failte Ireland calling on communities in Kerry to support Wild Atlantic Way

Walkway   Failte Ireland is calling on local communities across Kerry to support the Wild Atlantic way. Meetings will be held in Caherciveen and Tralee next week in order to brief the public about the tourism initiative. €8m alone will be spent this year on the 1,300 mile route which runs from Malin Head to Mizen Head, and encompasses Kerry’s coastline. The Wild Atlantic Way includes a series of loops leading off the main route, enabling tourists to explore the surrounding areas. Mary Rose Stafford is Manager of IT Tralee’s Irish Academy of Hospitality and Tourism and is on the board of Faile Ireland. She says the route is an opportunity for locals to engage with tourists and ensure return business. [audio_player src=””]
