FAI Cup Victory For Kerryman

Kerry’s Gary O’Neill has won the FAI Cup with Shamrock Rovers.

The Tralee man converted the winning spot kick as Rovers beat Dundalk on penalties for their first success in the competition since 1987

Aaron McEneff looked to have won it in normal time for Rovers when he despatched a penalty, before Michael Duffy equalised for Dundalk with the last kick of the game.

The Hoops won 4-2 on penalties at the Aviva Stadium after the match finished 1-1 after extra time.
