FAI Confirm Second Pre Euro 2016 March Friendly

The FAI have confirmed that there will be a second friendly international for Martin O’Neill’s side next March. Having already secured a home friendly against Switzerland on March 25th at the Aviva Stadium, there’s also set to be another fixture on March 29th as O’Neill will look to finalise his squad for Euro 2016. The opponent for the second fixture will be decided after the draw for the Euro2016 group stages, however the FAI have already announced a two-match package for the games which is already on sale on-line. Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says striker Sergio Aguero isn’t too seriously injured. The forward missed their Premier League match at Stoke on Saturday – and is likely to be out of Champions League action as well tomorrow. The Chilean scored 20 goals in 2015 – including one from long range to help his side beat Aston Villa in the FA Cup final. Sanchez finished top of the fans’ vote ahead of Leicester’s Jamie Vardy – who was the runner-up. Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland won’t entertain speculation that Liverpool are interesting in signing him. This is his first season as a regular Premier League number one – and his performances are putting pressure on Joe Hart’s place as England’s first choice ‘keeper. Stoke are in-form – and beat Manchester City on Saturday.
