Extension to Methodist Church opens in Killarney

An extension to the Methodist Church in Killarney which closed in the 1960’s due to the lack of congregation has been opened. The extension to the 94 year old red brick building cost 220,000 euro. President of the Methodist church in Ireland, Reverend Doctor Brian Fletcher officially opened the new addition to the church. In recent years the Killarney congregation has risen from a handful of people to around 100. This is due to asylum seekers and others from overseas who have moved to the area.
