Examination to take place into Kerry’s fires

The National Safety Council is to examine why Kerry is one of Ireland`s black spots when it comes to fire fatalities. Figures just released show that 6 people lost their lives in fires in the county over the past year. That’s the same number of fire deaths as Dublin despite an 8 fold difference in population. The safety council says it’s concerned that the figures for Kerry are so high and have been for a number of years.
