ESB crews work to restore power to over 100 homes in south west of the county

RSA LOGO ESB Network crews are working to restore power to over 100 customers in the south-west of the county. The outage occured in the Gurranebane area, where 108 customers are affected. It’s expected that power will be restored this afternoon. Meanwhile, ice and snow are causing problems for drivers this morning. In Kerry, the Kenmare to Kilgarvan road and the county bounds are particulary dangerous as is the Dan Paddy Andy Cross from Lyrecrompane to Castleisland. Met Eireann has a yellow weather alert in place across the country. Snow is accumulating in some places, especially on high ground.
