England Maintain 100% Euro Record

England maintained their 100 per cent record in Euro 2016 Group E with a 2-nil defeat of Estonia. Switzerland will be joining them in France after their 7-nil thrashing of San Marino secured second in that group. Spain have qualified for Euro 2016 with a 4-0 defeat of Luxembourg. In bad news for Manchester City, David Silva limped out of that game with an ankle injury. Wales can tonight qualify for a major tournament for the first time since 1958. Chris Coleman’s side need just a point away to Bosnia to secure top spot in their Euro 2016 qualifying group. Elsewhere in Group B, Belgium go to Andorra, and third placed Israel face Cyprus. Italy will secure qualification from Group H with a win away to Azerbaijan. Norway and Croatia are also sniffing for a place in France – they play host to Malta and Bulgaria respectively. The Netherlands will look to keep alive hopes of a playoff spot, when they travel to Kazakhstan in Group A. Turkey occupy third heading into their trip to the already-qualified Czechs while Iceland face Latvia. Sam Allardyce says he hopes to bring “stability and success” to Sunderland. He’s their new manager, after agreeing a 2-year contract. Allardyce – who played for the club in the early 80s – has been out of work since leaving West Ham at the end of last season. Sunderland are second bottom of the Premier League, and are without a top-flight win.
