Over €53,000 in funding allocated for Kerry youth clubs

Over €53,000 in funding has been allocated for Kerry youth clubs.

Minister of State for Tourism and Sport Brendan Griffin has welcomed the 12% increase in funding for the Local Youth Club Grant Scheme for 2019.

The funding supports youth work activities at a local level by providing grant aid towards the cost of running clubs and groups.

Deputy Griffin says the impact of small clubs working in Kerry is huge, helping them develop their talents, skills and experiences.

The scheme will be advertised on the ETB website in the coming months and local groups are urged to apply.
