€26,000 allocated to help tackle litter, graffiti and dog fouling

€26,000 has been allocated to Kerry County Council to fund public education and awareness initiatives in relation to litter and graffiti.

The allocation covers 70% of the cost, with the balance being met locally.

Adopt a road and bottle bank schemes and purchasing equipment for community and Tidy Towns groups are among the projects that will be funded.

Increasing awareness of responsible dog ownership in relation to dog fouling will also be funded.
