Over €24,000 has been allocated to repair a seawall in North Kerry.

Kerry County Council had submitted an application to the OPW under the Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme for a project at the Spa, along the North Kerry Way.

Fine Gael TD Brendan Griffin says €24,170 in funding has now been allocated to repair the breach.

He says this funding will allow Kerry County Council to carry out the urgently-needed repairs to protect the seawall in Spa from further damage.

Minister for Education and Kerry TD Norma Foley has welcomed the announcement.
