€20,000 worth of footpath repairs earmarked for Abbeydorney

Footpath repairs worth over €20,000 are earmarked for Abbeydorney.

In a response to a motion by Cllr Mike Kennelly which called for the footpath network in the North Kerry village to be repaired and replaced, Kerry County Council said there are two sections of footpath that should be considered in the short term.

They are a 50 metre section extending from the junction towards Lixnaw and a 40 metre section from the same junction towards the primary school.

Money for the works is being sought from the councillor specific municipal district allocation.
