€190,000 for Kerry rural recreation projects

Almost €190,000 has been allocated for rural recreational projects in Kerry.

It’s part of a national funding announcement of 1.8 million euro for 128 projects under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme, announced by Michael Ring, Minister for Rural and Community Development.

Among the Kerry projects to secure funding are the Top of Coom Loop Walk, Bolus Loop and Skellig Monks’ Trail, the Kerry Way, Bonane Heritage Park and Tralee Town Park.


Minister for State for Tourism and Sport, Brendan Griffin, has welcomed the allocation.
