€154,358 is being allocated for community centres and facilities in Kerry.
It is part of a €5 million announcement by Minister of State for Community Development and Charities at the Department of Rural and Community Development, Joe O'Brien.
The funding is part of the July stimulus package and is addition to €2 million announced for the sector earlier this year.

The money will provide capital grants towards maintenance, improvements and upkeep of community centres.
