€140,000 euro made available to two social enterprises in Kerry

Over €140,000 euro has been made available to two social enterprises in Kerry.

Minister for Rural and Community Development, Michael Ring, approved the funding under the Community Service Programme, which allocates funding to 12 organisations nationwide.

Both Foodshare Kerry Limited and Killarney Asylum Seekers Initiative Limited will receive over €70,000 each.

Junior Minister Brendan Griffin welcomed the announcement, saying the Community Service Programme targets communities where public or private services are lacking.

Senator Paul Coghlan also welcomed the announcement of the funding.
