€14,000 worth of cocaine seized in Tralee

Three people have been arrested and a suspected 14,000 euro worth of cocaine has been seized in Tralee.

The find was made after a car failed to stop at a Garda checkpoint on Pembroke street in the early hours of yesterday morning and drove off at speed.

Following a pursuit, in which a Garda car was rammed, two men in their 20s and 30s, and woman in her 30s were arrested in Tralee Town Centre.

After a search of their car, suspected cocaine worth around €14,000 was found. The drugs will be sent for analysis.

The man in his 20s and woman in her 30s have since been released without charge. The third man is still being held at Tralee Garda Station.

No Gardai were injured during the incident.
