€100,000 to be donated to those affected by Berkeley tragedy

An arm of the global charity foundation that’s holding a conference in Kerry this weekend has donated 100 thousand dollars to help those affected by the Berkeley tragedy. The American Ireland Fund The American Ireland Fund has made the donation in response to tragic accident. The organisation is part of the Worldwide Irish Funds which is holdings its annual conference in Killarney, beginning this evening. The American Ireland Fund says the tragedy has had a profound effect on the Irish at home and around the world – and the task of meeting the needs of the families is urgent. CEO Kieran McLoughlin says J1 students have distinguished our country and have contributed greatly  to America.
