17 Kerry services will benefit from over €1.7 million in funding from the Community Services Programme.
The CSP supports community-based organisations delivering vital services through a social enterprise model.
Kerry Fine Gael Senator Paul Coghlan says such funding is immensely important to all beneficiaries across Kerry. Deputy Danny Healy-Rae has welcomed the announcement.
Ballyheigue Social Economy Enterprises will receive €132,665, Ballyspillane Community and Family Resource Centre is to get €40,266 and Comhchoiste Ghaeltachtai Chiarrai Theas Cuideachta Faoi Theorainn Ráthaíochta will receive €95,165.
€72,266 has been allocated for Foodshare Kerry, IRD Foilmore Kells is to get €60,399, and K.A.S.I. €70,066.
The Kerry Flyer has been allocated €45,750, Kerry Respite Care will receive €193,064, Knocknagoshel Sports and Recreational Association is to get €60,399 and Listowel Community Centre €172,931.
NEWKD will receive €76,132 for a community hall along with €117,648 for their Listowel Older Service and €146,198 for their Revamp service.
€40,266 has been allocated for Over the Water Sports Centre, The Social Action Group Rathmore will receive €70,066, Tralee Community Care Action is to get €233,330 and Valentia Community Health and Welfare Association will receive €40,266.
