Dublin woman is rescued from Carrauntoohill

A woman in her 20’s is in a comfortable condition at Kerry General Hospital today after she was rescued from Carrauntoohill last night. The alarm was raised just before 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon when the woman fell while climbing down The Devil’s Ladder. The 23 year old from Dublin was with a group of other climbers at the time of the accident. She received injuries to back and had to be stretchered down the mountain by members of Kerry Mountain Rescue. Their spokesperson Jerry Christie says it was quite a difficult rescue operation.
