DPP to decide on Clare taxi driver case

The DPP is to make a decision on the 53 year old man being questioned at Cahirciveen Gardai Station in connection with the death of Clare taxi driver Liam Maloney. The 53 year old man was arrested following a search at a rented house in South Kerry. Mr Maloney`s body was found in a field near Ruan, Ennis on the 12th of this month with serious head wounds. Supt John Curran says they are questioning the man in connection with Mr Moloneys death and the discovery of a stolen sawn off shotgun at the rented premises where he was found. He says it will be up to the DPP to decide if charges are to be brought.
