First up, he took the honours in the Mares’ Hurdle.
His mount, 11-to-1 chance Black Tears, edged out favourite Concertista.

The closing Novices’ Chase saw Kennedy guide 7/2 shot Galvin to victory.
Kennedy ends the day as leading jockey.
