The director of Birds Euroshow Funfair understands it can continue to operate in Tralee, despite new COVID-19 restrictions being introduced. These restrictions state that

The director of Birds Euroshow Funfair understands it can continue to operate in Tralee, despite new COVID-19 restrictions being introduced.

These restrictions state that no more than 15 people should gather outdoors in a bid to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Birds Euroshow Funfair is operating at the grounds of Harriers Athletic Club on the Dan Spring Road in Tralee and is planning to remain there for another week.

Don Bird says they were initially concerned they may have to close, adding the Government's statement was vague.

Mr Bird adds the site they are operating on can provide ample room for social distancing.

He has sought clarification from the Department of the Arts, but says the National Campaign for the Arts (NCFA) told him the funfair can continue to operate:
