Dingle woman part of relay team swimming from Russia to America

Dingle woman Nuala Moore winning the International Winter Swimming Competition, Murmansk A Dingle woman is taking to the water today as part of a relay team who are attempting to swim from Russia to the United states across the Bering strait. Nuala Moore is amongst an elite group of swimmers who have been chosen to swim the 86km wide Bering strait. With currents and local conditions taken into account, the swim will total closer to 120km. Nuala completed a 1000km swim at 0 degrees in Murmansk north of the artic circle. She is one of only four women in the world to do so.
