Dingle Tidy Towns group will work to combat the issue of litter in the town.

The Irish Business Against Litter group carried out a survey which found that Dingle was littered while Ballybunion and the River Laune were moderately littered.

The study found that in Dingle there was a wide variety of litter, much of it food related, especially fast-food wrappers, utensils and cigarette butts.

Richie Williams of Dingle Tidy Towns says litter only occurs in the town at times.

He says that the group will look to get more bins in the town to combat the issue.
