Larger vessels, including cruise liners could berth in Dingle Marina if the harbour was deepened. Dingle Boatmen Cllr Seamus Cosaí Fitzgerald called on the Department of the Marine to provide funding to dredge Dingle Harbour at yesterday’s meeting of the county council. Cllr Fitzgerald says the harbour has been left in limbo for many years and this has stagnated the area’s economy. Dingle has a 40 berth marina as well as a dry dock and net storage facilities.
