Details have been published of a Special Area of Conservation in South Kerry.

The notice, which has been published by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, relates to the Ballinskelligs Bay and Inny Estuary areas.

It’s the final step in the designation of the existing SAC and does not place any new or additional conditions on landowners, other than those that already applied.

The Department says landowners and others identified as holding rights, licences or legal interests in the SAC are being notified directly in writing.

Further information is available from regional offices of the National Parks and Wildlife Service or www.npws.ie.
