There are a number of temporary road closures in Killarney and other parts of the county this weekend to facilitate the Rally of the Lakes.
Some car parking in Killarney is also closed to traffic.
The N71 from Torc Waterfall via Galway’s Bridge, Ladies View, Eirc, Moll’s Gap and Carrig East to the junction of the N71 and the road leading to Kilkeana townland is closed tomorrow, Saturday morning, from 7.30 to 11.15.
These roads which are part of the Molls Gap rally stage will also be closed on Sunday from 7am to around 1.30pm.
From 12 noon tomorrow until 6pm, the R574 road will be closed from the county bounds at the top of Healy Pass via Creeveen and Lauragh to the junction with the R571 at Lauragh.
Also closed tomorrow Saturday is the R573 from its junction with the R571 at Derreen, via Bunaw, Tragalee and Canfee to the junction with the R571 at Tuosist from 3.45 to 6.45pm.
On Sunday from 8am to 2pm, the roads from Sheen Bridge via Gortalinny North, Currabeg, Curramore, Derrylahan, Letter Upper and Letter Lower to the junction with the Kilgarvan to Borlin road are closed.
Also closed on Sunday from 12.15 in the afternoon until 6pm are roads at Raheen via Knockysheehan, Lisbabe, Readrinagh, Knockdoorah, Meentoges, Barnard to the junction with the Rathbeg to Gneeveguilla road in Ballycullane.
On Sunday , from 1pm to 6.30pm, the road from the county bounds at Awnaskirtaun via Shrone and Gortdarrig to the R570 at Drom and along the R570 to the junction with the Knockanes Road southwest of the railway bridge at Drom will be closed.
All adjoining public roads will be closed for a distance of 200 metres from each junction to these routes.
Fair Hill car park in Killarney is closed until 9 o’clock tonight.
Lewis Road car park in Killarney is unavailable for parking until Sunday at 9pm.
The car park at Gortroe, Fossa is closed until 9 o’clock Sunday night.
