Deputy Deenihan accuses Fianna Fail of playing politics.

Fine Gael Deputy Jimmy Deenihan is accusing Fianna Fail of playing politics over plans by Lidl to set up in Listowel. A meeting between the Town Councilors and the German discount store went ahead this week, but the Four Fine Gael members decided not to attend. The meeting had been arranged by Mayor Tim O`Leary, but his colleagues subsequently decided not to meet Robert Ryan. The application, which requires a material contravention, will be discussed next Monday night. Deputy Deenihan says his colleagues will have no problem meeting a representative from Lidl if it’s formally arranged.
