Deor Wins Feature As Listowel Races Come To A Close

The MJ Carroll ARRO Handicap Hurdle at Listowel has been won by Deor.

It’s another big win this week for jockey Darragh O’Keeffe, whose mount got home ahead of race favourite Internal Transfer.

Galway-based Yvonne Dunleavy has just the two horses in full training right now and, remarkably, they filled the first two places in the Tote Handicap Hurdle, but not in the order the market suggested.

In the end it was 16-1 chance Bomber Jackson and David Mullins who led home the better-fancied 7-1 stablemate Padraic O Conaire. Unsurprisingly, it was Dunleavy’s first one-two in a race.

David Mullins completed the double aboard uncle Willie Mullins’ Robin Des Foret, a cosy winner of the Allman Contracts LTD Novice Chase.

Robin Des Foret jumped great and was far too strong for his rivals in the finish. He was returned an 11-4 chance.
