Delays to motorists from new traffic lights in Tralee won’t be long term

Delays to motorists from new traffic lights in Tralee town centre won’t be long term.

That’s according to Kerry County Council who say they’re in a transition period at the moment.

Motorists have reported traffic delays after the council erected new traffic lights at the top of Denny Street.

At the recent Tralee Municipal District meeting, Senior Engineer Eamon Scanlan explained that when the junction is re-done, making Denny Street two-way, the lights will be altered making it a smart junction.

He says this and changes to Ivy Terrace should improve traffic flow through the town.
