Delay of up to two years before family law cases are heard

A Kerry solicitor says there are not enough days set aside in the Circuit Court for hearing family law cases. Tralee Town Councillor Miriam McGillycuddy says it could be up to two years before a case is heard and the delay is adding undue stress to all involved. She acknowledges that criminal cases take up the bulk of the court time, but Ms McGillycuddy says when the circuit Court sits in Tralee, it should dedicate a week to hearing family law cases.
