Delay in plans for Dingle Community Hospital

Plans for Dingle Community Hospital are being delayed by a cap on recruitment at The Department Of Health. In addition there are no resources allocated for the building project at the moment. Minister of State at The Department Brian Lenihan says the project cannot proceed to tender until the department weighs up the significant investment required. He was responding to a Dail question from Deputy Breda Moynihan Cronin. Earlier this year The Southern Health Board announced construction on the facility could begin early next year. Minister Lenihan says the department is considering the project.
