Decision on Kilgarvan Wind Farm Deferred

A decision has been deferred on a Wind Farm in Kilgarvan which Hibernian Wind Energy wants to build.Construction work carried out by the company in Galway last October has been identified as one of the main causes of a major bog slide in Derrybrien.Planners were due to give their decision last week on the Kilgarvan site, but are now looking for additional information from Hibernian Wind Energy.Once this is supplied, the planners have four weeks to decide on the application.Two objections have been lodged to what is the largest project of its type in the county.An Taisce and Michael Horgan are opposed to the development of 28 turbines.
