The annual Daniel O’Connell Summer School will take place this coming weekend.

The school will be divided between Cahersiveen on Friday August 31st and Derrynane House on Saturday September 1st.

The annual Daniel O’Connell lecture will this year take the form of a wide-ranging interview between journalist Olivia O’Leary and Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin.

Mary O’Connor of the school’s organising committee says it’s a great occasion for South Kerry and is going from strength to strength.
