Dangerous driving case is adjourned at Killarney District Court

A 56 year old American fire fighters’ official charged following a collission with the state car of Minister Eamon O Cuiv is still in hospital. The case has been adjourned by consent at Killarney District Court and will come up for mention again in June. John Corbett of West Park Avenue, St Louis, Missouri, USA, is charged with driving in a manner dangerous to the public under the road traffic acts on November 15th of last year at Torc, Muckross, Killarney. The rented car he was driving collided with the Volvo car of The Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs Eamon O,Cuiv. Mr Corbett was seriously injured in the crash and was flown home to Missouri by air ambulance last December for further treatment. His wife also suffered injuries while minister o’cuiv, his secretary and garda driver were hospitalised. In court yesterday Mr Cobett`s solicitor, Eoin Brosnan, said his client is still in hospital and is unable to give instruction to his lawyers. Judge Timothy Lucey adjourned the case with consent from garda supt Michael Donovan it will come before the courts again on June 21st.
