It’s expected that works to repair a damaged bridge in Kilcummin will be completed by the end of October.
Labour councillor Marie Moloney called on Kerry County Council to carry out immediate repairs to Ryan’s Bridge at Clydine, Kilcummin.
She says the bridge was damaged and left unprotected for nearly two years.
Cllr Moloney says while red barriers were erected at the bridge, they fell onto the river bed shortly after and remain there for the past 20 months.
The council says signage has been erected and it expects the repair works to be completed by the end of October.
