Crucific to return to Killarney cathedral.

The crucifix from St. Mary’s Cathedral Killarney has been returned to the county after maintenance work being carried out. People have flocked to the cathedral to touch the 13ft crucifix that has been on display at the cathedral for 92 years. The crucifix was removed to allow restorative work to be carried out on the 258ft spire in anticipation of the cathedrals 150th anniversary in 2005. The crucifix will be returned to its position in a few weeks.
