Criticism fo Labours Mc Dowells comments on rural living.

The Kerry branch of the Irish Rural Dwellers Association has lashed out at a comment made by labours Derek Mc Dowell on rural living. Senator Mc Dowell described some of the towns chosen for decentralisation as God awful places with only dingy pubs and no services. Speaking in the Seannad he said Dublin offers a choice to people which is not available to rural dwellers. However James Doyle of the Rural Dwellers Association claims this is a very outdated view of living outside of Dublin.
