Dr. Crokes “C” 1-10 Ballyduff 3-12
Ballyduff led at the interval by 3-7 to 1-4 with goals from Philip Lucid inside the first minute; he was the game’s top scorer with 1-6; Kieran McGrath and Michael Hussey. At this stage the game was over and done such was the visitors amount of possession. Further scorers from Kevin Bowler, Anthony O Carroll and substitute Mikie Boyle put this game to bed early in the second half. Former senior All Ireland medal holder Eoin Brosnan impressed as did Sean Courtney and Killian Ward.

Kerins O Rahillys “B” 0-5 Beale 4-24
The scoreline tells it’s own story in a game Beale dominated from start to finish. Early points from Ger O’Gorman and James McMahon (2) gave Beale a 3 point to 1 lead in the first 5 minutes. Beale then hit a purple patch with Ian Mannix scoring a goal and 2 points with another point from Eric Daly. Rahilly’s added a point in the 12th minute only for Beale to pile on more pressure adding a procession of points from Barry O’Mahony, Ian Mannix and a further goal by James McMahon who also added 2 further points to give the winners a commanding lead at half time.
The second half started no better for the Strand Road men; Cormac Linnane, with a goal and 3 points, followed by 4 further points by Darragh Buckley pushed Beale out of sight and Ian Mannix added another goal and 2 points to his tally leaving the result as a done deal long before the end. Rahilly’s fought gamely throughout to no avail. Beale now lie second in the table with one game remaining at home to Dr Crokes C next weekend. Rahillys got their scorer from Johnny Keane, 3pts, Kevin Johnson-Horgan and Brian Scannell, 1pt each. Others to impress for the Tralee side were Shane Foley, Barry Foley, Donagh O Brien and Rob O Connor.

Miltown/Castlemaine “B” 1-14 Sneem/Derrynane 3-9
A very exciting game as the scoreline suggests but it was littered with mistakes on both sides and this contributed to a lot of the scores. Despite been short a few regulars the visitors were first on the board with a Morgan O Donoghue point which was followed a Denis O Sullivan goal. 3 points followed by the home team, Eoin O Mahony (2) and Jamie O Shea. Dion Burke hit the net for Sneem/Derrynane in the 15th minute but the home side replied with a point from Colin McKenna and two pointed frees by Eoin O Mahony. Tim Murphy and Conor O Brien had points for the visitors to leave it 3-3 to 0-6 on 20mts. A point each from Eoin O Mahony and Morgan O Donoghue left the half time score 3-4 to 0-7 for Sneem/Derrynane. Two Milltown/Castlemaine points and a Eugene McCarthy goal gave great momentum to the home team and cut the lead to 2 points. Shane McGillicuddy and Conor O Brien made it 4pts again before the home team hit 3 late points to just fall short.

Scartaglen 3=13 Kenmare Shamrocks “B”1-5
Scartaglen look certain to be promoted after a comfortable win at home to Kenmare B maintained their 100% record in Division 5A.
Three excellent first half points from Dean Cassidy kept Kenmare competitive early on. Shay Walsh was equally effective for Scart and he contributed five points as well as setting up Brian Hanrahan for the first half’s only goal. Half time: Scartaglen 1-07 Kenmare B 0-04.
Hugh O’Connor added an early second half goal for the home side. Substitute Brian Riordan kicked 1-03 in another impressive cameo. Ray O’Shea made several fine saves in the Kenmare goal as the away side battled to the end with Andrew O’Connor scoring a well deserved late goal.
Scorers for Scart: Brian Riordan 1-03, Shay Walsh 0-05, Brian Hanrahan 1-02, Hugh O’Connor 1-01,Tom Forde 0-01, Conor Cremins 0-01.

Div 5 Gr B

Moyvane 2-9 Kilgarvan 0-12
Kilgarvan’s unbeaten run in the County League came to an end when a determined Moyvane side, fuelled by goals from Martin Stack and Gearoid Stack Mulvihill, gained a valuable 2 points. The home side had 1-2 on the board, 1-1 from Martin Stack and a point from Brendan Galvin before Kilgarvan’s first score in the 11th minute, a point from Conor Shortall. Eamon O Flaherty for the home side and Mark Foley exchanged points before Gearoid Stack Mulvihill put Moyvane 1-4 to 0-3 ahead on the 20th minute. Kilgarvan put in a very strong performance for the final 10 minutes of the half, scoring 3 unanswered points from Daniel Casey, Patrick O Shea and Gearoid Fennessy, leaving a half time score of Moyvane 1-4, Kilgarvan 0-6.
The visitors were first off the mark in the second half with a Daniel Casey point but in the 5th minute Moyvane’s second goal came from Gearoid Stack Mulvihill, putting 3 points between the sides. A free from Kilgarvan’s Mark Foley was followed by 3 points from Martin Stack, leaving the visitors with an uphill battle going into the last 10 minutes of the game. A Sean Godfrey point kept the visitors in the mix but Shane and Martin Stack each pointed putting Moyvane ahead by 2 goals in the dying minutes. Kilgarvan refused to give up however and added 3 pointed frees from Patrick O Shea leaving the Final Score Moyvane 2-9, Kilgarvan 0-12.

Cromane 6-16 John Mitchels “B” 1-10
In fairness this game was over at the break with goals coming from the Houlihan brothers; Mikie and a hatrick from Darran leaving it 4-8 to 0-7.
On resumption it was more of the same with Cromane dictating play and further goals from Emmett Casey and Donnacha Walsh kept the home side well in contention for the play-offs.
Donnacha Walsh, Niall Dennehy, Shane O Neill, Emmett Casey and Darren and Mikie Houlihan swung over some excellent scores.

Knocknagoshel 4-19 Killarney Legion “B”0-11
Knocknagoshel had an easy victory over an understrength Legion B team. Played in perfect conditions, Knocknagoshel led 2-10 to 0-5 at half time with goals by John Walsh and Michael Keane. Knocknagoshel added further goals in the second half by Michael Walsh and John O’Keeffe. Legion had second half points by Brian Griffin, Derek Twomey and Kieran O’Donoghue but Knocknagoshel ran out comfortable winners.
