Councillor Michael Cahill warns that significant investment is needed in Kerry to combat the effects of COVID-19 and climate change.

The Fianna Fáil Councillor maintains that resolving the problems caused for businesses by both COVID-19 and climate change will require significant funding from the government and the EU.

Cllr Cahill stated that Kerry's local industries have been devastated by COVID-19, despite the county being largely successful in restricting the spread of the virus.

The Rossbeigh Councillor also outlined that investment in flood and erosion defences need to be improved if places such as Kenmare, Sneem, Cromane, Dooks and Rossbeigh are to continue being viable places in which to live and work.
