Councillor believes it’s time to go it alone for Tourism marketing.

A Fianna Fail Councillor doesn’t want the county to be part of a regional body with Cork for tourism marketing. Cllr Norma Foley says the days of being a tag-on to Cork are gone and she believes its time to go it alone. Her colleagues from North Kerry are also wary about working with a regional body, arguing their part of the county was excluded in the past. Kerry County Council has endorsed the plans to revert to the position before 1989 which would see the entire county under one umbrella. But Cllr Foley says it should be different this time.
