Kerry County Council says it will repaint lines on the road at a dangerous bend in the centre of Killorglin. The commitment came following a call from local councillor, John Francis Flynn, who asked that something be done after a number of accidents at the bend near St James’ Church. He said that a vehicle had recently crashed through the garden wall of a private residence near the bend adjoining Mill Road and New Line Road. Councillor Michael Cahill echoed the calls, saying that somebody will be killed at this location if nothing is done. The council said that road alignment is a matter for the National Roads Authority but it would look at re-painting of the white line as soon as possible.
