Kerry County Council says it’s still in talks with the HSE about acquiring land at the former St Finan’s Hospital in Killarney.

The council has met with the HSE about the availability of surplus lands at the site of the old psychiatric institution, and the local authority has indicated a strategic interest in some of it.

At the recent Kerry County Council meeting, Independent Cllr Maura Healy-Rae asked an update on the Victorian building and its lands.

CEO Moira Murrell says the local authority is still in discussions with the HSE about this.
