Kerry County Council says it’ll investigate concerns by locals about the closure of the road between Knocknagoshel and Lyreacrompane.
The route between Renagown Cross and Knocknagoshel Cross was closed on Monday morning of this week for two weeks to facilitate works by the developers of a local wind farm.
The council says the road closure is to facilitate the installation and jointing of electrical ducting.
They add that access will be provided for emergency services and local residents at all times, and diversions will be in place.
Concerns have been raised about a lack of signage, which the council says it’ll investigate to ensure all terms are being adhered to by the contractor.
Locals have also expressed their disappointment over the closure of the road, which was closed last year, as it’s causing an inconvenience to residents and businesses.
