Council engineer cleared of any wrongdoing

A Council engineer who’s been under investigation in recent weeks has been cleared of any wrongdoing. The County Manager Martin Riordan says he’s reviewed the files and correspondence and no further action is proposed. In a statement issued to Radio Kerry News, the County Council says the matter has come up in the past and has been appropriately investigated. The statement doesn’t say how far back the previous complaint goes. The ethics registrar received the complaint, which is believed to have been submitted by a member of the engineer’s family.
