Cork Ladies Football Champions Again

Cork have been crowned all Ireland ladies football champions for the 10th time in 11 years, after they beat Dublin by 12 points to 10 this afternoon. Oisin Langan reports [audio_player src=””] The attendance in Croke Park surpassed that of 30,710 and the match is now Europes most highly attended womens event this year. Before this, Kildare faced Waterford in the intermediate football final. It was Waterford who once again overcame the lilywhites by 3-14 to 10 points. The curtain raiser in Croke Park was the Junior final contested by Louth and Scotland. Louth cruised to victory there, winning by 4-12 to two points.
