Construction of new development to begin in Dingle

Southbound Properties say they spoke with the objectors of their multi million euro development in Dingle in order to allay fears that they had expressed with An Board Pleanala. The project which consists of 64 houses and a tennis court received the green light this week after the appellants withdrew their objections. Construction is due to begin next week and it`s expected over 100 jobs will be created to build the project.A previous application by them for houses in Ballyferriter led to the introduction of a clause requiring that 75% of the homes be occupied by Irish speakers. 15 of the houses in this development will also be occupied by Irish speakers Jerry O Sullivan says while they have had problems with developments in the area in the past its not going to deter them from further projects in West Kerry.
