Confusion Over Involvement Of Irish Riders In Tour de France

There’s some confusion over the involvement of Team Sky’s Irish contingent in this year’s Tour de France. With the 9-man team set to be declared on Monday, Sky posted a shortlist of eleven names on their site this morning that included neither Nicolas Roche nor Philip Deignan. The post was swiftly removed, with many shocked at Roche and Deignan’s absences. However, there’s good news for sprint specialist Sam Bennett, who is set to make his Tour de France debut.
