Concern in Southern Health Board at falling rates of vaccinations

The Southern Health Board says they are concerned at the falling rates of vaccinations in the region. To date there has been six cases of the measles in Kerry and Cork with one occurring in Kerry. There was no reported cases last year. Dr Fiona Ryan Southern Health Board specialist in public health medicine says there is the potential of a widespread outbreak of the measles disease if children are not vaccinated. The vaccine is available free of charge from GP`s.
