Commemorative tree to be planted in Tralee to mark centenary of the extension of parliamentary suffrage to Irish women in 1918

A tree will be planted in Tralee today to mark the centenary of the extension of parliamentary suffrage to Irish women in 1918.

Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council Cllr Norma Foley will plant the commemorative tree on the grounds of the County Buildings at Rathass.

The ceremony will take place at 1.30pm.
